We know Disney days can be magical, but when that Florida sun hits hard and the kids are running on fumes, it’s time for a little mid-day recharge. Whether you’re melting in Magic Kingdom or sweating in EPCOT, here’s where to cool down, sneak in a quick nap (yes, really!), or take a break that won’t derail your day.

🌴 Deluxe Resort Perks: Midday Magic Moments
One of the best ways to beat the heat is to head back to your resort in the afternoon for a swim, nap, or quiet time. And if you’re staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, that’s easier (and faster!) than you might think.
Here’s why:
- Contemporary Resort – Walk to Magic Kingdom or take the monorail—perfect for quick in-and-out park breaks.
- Polynesian Village Resort – Just a monorail ride to Magic Kingdom or a boat trip for a breezy return to the pool.
- Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – Access Magic Kingdom by monorail, boat, or even a lovely walk—great for quick recharges.
- BoardWalk Inn / Beach Club / Yacht Club – Walk or take a boat to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.
- Riviera Resort – Hop on the Skyliner for smooth, scenic rides to and from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
💡 These easy transportation options make midday escapes effortless—whether you’re cooling off in your resort pool or catching a quiet nap before round two in the parks.
We just stayed at the Grand Floridian and took the monorail back from Magic Kingdom for a midday break. We swam for an hour—it was such a fun reset! The main pool had games and a DJ that the kids loved, or you could enjoy a peaceful swim at one of the quieter pools closer to the rooms. After a quick shower, we headed right back to the parks for fireworks and some more rides. It was the perfect escape from the heat and gave us a second wind for the night.
